Welcome to Firespark

Updated: Apr 8, 2022

It seems odd starting a new consultancy. For the last 17 years, I've been building and running my own award-winning marketing agency - BURN - which my business partner and I sold back in September 2020. It felt a bit like giving up a child but the time had come to move on.

The marketing eco-system is changing and the role of agencies within that has been slow to keep up. Most agencies still operate in the same way they've always done - offering a full range of services to meet all needs and carrying the overhead that comes with that. Yet more and more clients have creative and campaign management capabilities in house. The resources they employ to do these jobs are often highly skilled and significantly more economical than the day rates charged by the agencies pitching to them.

The first rule of marketing is to offer customers something they want and to do so at a price that is reflective of the value you're adding. Yet agencies aren't necessarily doing that. With Marketing Directors responsible for overall brand strategy and team and stakeholder management, they often don't have the time (and sometimes experience) to focus on the day-to-day growth strategies.

With over 30 years of experience in marketing, I've worked with some of the biggest brands in the world - delivering exactly these strategies. So this is the gap I'd like Firespark to fill. We intend to focus purely on planning growth strategies for businesses - by leveraging our expertise in B2B and B2C customer acquisition or retention. We can work seamlessly with existing agencies, your in-house teams or we can happily refer you to our tried and trusted partners. But since we don't carry the large, flabby overhead of other agencies, our rates are significantly more affordable. And our experience and expertise is second to none.

So why not contact me and we can explore how we help your business grow.
